We put an offer in on a house Friday. I’m not going to say which one because I’m kind of superstitious, and don’t want to jinx it. I will tell you it’s not the seahorse house. We decided it had too many issues to work for us. The sellers have until Tuesday evening to respond.
Don got an email from the estate sale ladies. His sale was a great success. He netted a respectable sum which I’ll leave him to reveal to those who are curious.
We haven’t been doing anything exciting the past few days. I spent much of yesterday washing towels and sheets. Smoochie had some intestinal issues Friday night so we both had a rough night. But, trooper that she is, she was ready for breakfast Saturday morning. Me — not so much.
We found a restaurant called Jax Snax that makes pizza to go in San Carlos. Don brought one home for dinner Saturday night. It wasn’t the best pizza we’ve ever had, but it was pretty tasty. No green chile though. 😦 Since the pizza was pretty good we decided to try some of their other fare today. We didn’t get there until about 11, and it was packed. By the time we made it to the counter to order they were no longer serving breakfast. So I ordered the Burro Percheron, a big beef burrito, and Don ordered grilled fish. The burrito was stuffed with big chunks of broiled beef. It was delicious, and had a side of guacamole that was almost as good as mine. Don said his fish was delicious. Lucky for him it was a little fishy for me or he would have been sharing. The cost for both meals with a can of Diet Pepsi, and a bottle of water was 300 pesos, or about $16.
While we were waiting for our food we talked about what we miss most in the U.S. Without hesitation Don said LotaBurger. I said I miss my shower. I asked him what he likes most about San Carlos? It was a stupid question.
Also, there don’t seem to be any tumbleweeds here. That’s a big perk.
Tomorrow we are going to make the trek to Hermosillo to look at Toyota trucks, and go to Costco. Wish us luck.
